Buckeye is one of the fastest growing cities in the United States. It is located approximately 30 miles west of downtown Phoenix. Buckeye was established in 1888 by Malie M Jackson who developed 10 miles of the Buckeye Canal which was named after his home state of Ohio, the “Buckeye” state.
There are currently 33 master-planned communities in Buckeye. There are also 13 un-built planned communities including Douglas Ranch which, when complete, will house 300,000 residents.
The City of Buckeye’s Skyline Regional Park is an 8,700 acre mountain preserve located in the White Tank Mountains which features 17 miles of trails for hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians, and has numerous camping and picnic areas.
